Tiger Woods Teaches us Another Lesson

Tiger Woods Teaches us Another Lesson

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger. You might just be Cablinasian-- whatever that means.

Tiger has taught us many lessons. "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned." He taught that. Oh, he taught it. He also taught us that it was about color not race-- since he is a mixture of races, huh? Blacks and everyone that looks black (like the negro he is) will be treated like a black in the public court of opinion. That too taught to us by our White-ish counterpart Tiger. I'm sure you thought I was going to write about not sending nudes. No, no, no. Send nudes. To my inbox. Email them. Call me, beep me if you want to reach me.

No, but seriously, my favorite lesson he has taught us most recently was something Charlamange the God (of whom I adamantly oppose boycotting) said yesterday morning on his radio show. Well, just a little back story before we get into this statement. So, Tiger's nudes were leaked. (They have been taken down recently with the threat of being sued to Celeb Jihad). Either way, it shows that he is mixed with Thai, Dutch, and Chinese. I think it shows his quarter Black and Native American, too. Still, this comes after a terrible breakup, career spiraling down, health issues and possible drug use. I normally ain't this hard on my people am I?

Well, hopefully, I can give him some grace with the lesson he actually taught us for the quarter Black he is. (Rolls eyes). Charlamange said that all these things that are happening to Tiger wouldn't be an issue if Tiger wasn't trying to have this perfect image.

Now, I know you're thinking: that is the name of the game. If you are a celebrity or anyone of notoriety, it is essential to have a pristine record. After all, that is the purpose of branding, right?

Hmmm.. to an extent. You should have a pristine image... that is if you have a pristine life. I'm not saying you need to be perfect in order to be a celebrity or live the celebrity life. I am simply saying be who the fuck you are and work your image around that. If you or I know we are around here fucking, drugging, sucking, busting, driving, drinking, snorting and cheating, it is ignorant to believe you can have an image that says you are a straight-laced individual. The truth will always come out! Think Chris Brown, Wesley Snipes... hell even Jay-Z. The media takes great happiness in getting the dirt about people of color.

This also happens in our communities. The truth is we think we are turning it by bringing the fakest version of ourselves in public and people are chomping at the bit to learn your tea. Then, we see, at any moment, them ready to lay you out at your first mistake. It's sad and uncalled for, but I promise you if you live a life that is authentically you, people won't have shit to talk about. After all, it's only "tea" if it's a hot topic. So, next time you think of carrying anything fake, please understand people will know you by the fruit you bear and if it's fake they will expose you. It's so much easier to just be yourself. Kay?
